13th December 2003 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 10-25 Surf / Sea State: shoulder high waves Air Temperature: cold Sea Temperature: slightly less cold Weather: dark Max Speed: Distance Covered: Rocked up about 12 ish, 3 people floating around, mostly getting hammered by nasty underpowered onshore wind & associated waves. Childish optimism got the best of me and I rigged a 5m and waited listening to the footy in the van....eventually decided I either get out or go home, so also went out and floated for about an hour and a half, when suddenly the wind picked up a beauty and we all sailed until it got dark some of us when it was dark - end of the day. scoring a good 4 stars I reckon. Although the river was high, very brown and boy, did it smell ripe! The windsurfers may not have been the only floaters out there I fancy.... |
